Working with Shaun
What’s your pricing model?
Every event is scoped individually — there’s no fixed rate card because no two events are the same size, format, or duration. Shaun’s fees are based on the scope of services engaged (auctioneer, MC, digital platform, prizes, facilitator, or any combination), the event scale, and the date. For auction prizes, the consignment model means there’s no upfront cost to your organisation — you pay only when items sell, and every dollar above the agreed cost price goes directly to your cause. The best starting point is a 30-minute discovery call where Shaun can give you a realistic picture of what your event needs and what it would cost.
Do I have to take all services together or can I choose just one?
You can engage any single service or any combination — there’s no minimum package requirement. Some clients engage Shaun purely as auctioneer. Others only for the digital platform. Others for MC and facilitation work. As part of your initial conversation, Shaun will advise on what will work best for your specific event and objectives.
Do you work at events outside Singapore?
Yes. Although the majority of Shaun’s work is delivered in Singapore, he has worked events in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Hong Kong among others. For events where travel isn’t possible, the digital auction platform can be managed remotely from Singapore — with Shaun advising your on-the-ground team in real time. Travel costs and logistics for in-person attendance are factored into the event scope. Mention where your event will be held and Shaun will give you a clear picture of the options.
Can you supply audio-visual equipment, music or technical support?
Shaun doesn’t supply AV equipment or technical production directly, but he works closely with a trusted network of Singapore-based AV, sound, and production partners he can recommend based on your event scale and venue. For music, Shaun can supply professional musicians as part of a broader event package — worth discussing if you’re looking for a full-service evening.
Do you deliver services in languages other than English?
Shaun’s services are delivered in English. For events requiring bilingual or multilingual MC support, he can recommend trusted local professionals who work in Mandarin, Malay, or other languages, and advise on how to structure a bilingual programme effectively.
Charity & fundraising specifics
Are you connected to Giving.sg? Do you supply tax receipts for IPC charities?
Tax receipts for IPC (Institution of a Public Character) donations are issued by the charity directly — not by Shaun. Shaun works regularly with IPC-registered organisations across Singapore and understands the various funding and donation models well. The guest onboarding process can be fully customised, including the collection of NRIC numbers (the national identification required for tax receipt issuance in Singapore) to support your accounting needs. If your organisation is IPC-registered, mention it during your discovery call — it shapes how the donation and pledge structure on the night should be set up to make the receipt process straightforward for your attendees.
We’re a charity / non-profit — do you offer your services at a reduced rate?
Shaun deeply respects the work charities do — it’s why he’s dedicated a decade to the sector. His fees reflect the professional expertise and preparation that go into every event, and reduced rates aren’t something he offers as standard. What he does offer is a model where the investment pays for itself. Shaun’s auction management, digital bidding, and prize strategy consistently produce returns that comfortably exceed the cost of his services — and he’ll tell you directly if your event isn’t the right fit before you commit to anything. The discovery call is where that case gets made specifically for your event, your donor profiles, and your numbers.
What happens if a guest is not satisfied with a prize item?
All consignment prizes are supplied in good faith with independent certificates of authenticity and accurate descriptions. For experiential prizes (travel, experiences), full terms are disclosed at the point of bidding so guests know exactly what they’re purchasing before the hammer falls. In the rare event that an item is not as described, Shaun and/or his supplier handle the resolution directly — your organisation carries no liability.
Digital auction platform
What happens to our guests’ data if we go digital? Is the platform secure?
Guest data entered through the digital platform is encrypted, stored securely, and never sold or shared with third parties. The platform is fully PDPA-compliant for Singapore events and GDPR-compliant for events involving European donors. Your organisation retains full ownership of your donor data, exportable in full after the event — useful for your own CRM and donor stewardship records. Guest data is visible only to your event administrators during the event. If you have specific data security requirements — common for corporate events and government-adjacent charities — Shaun’s platform partner can provide a detailed data processing summary on request.
Next step
What should your event achieve?
Every event is different. The cause, the crowd, the venue, the goal — the objective shapes everything that follows. Book a 30-minute discovery call: no pitch deck, just an honest discussion about what you’re trying to achieve, and what 20 years of experience across charity stages and corporate rooms suggests is the best way to get there.
